Revolutionize Drawers as Narrow as 9" with Blade Compact Vanity Outlets

Upgrade narrow vanity drawers with Docking Drawer's 15 amp Blade Compact Vanity Outlet. Designed for tight spaces, it fits seamlessly into drawers while providing safe, convenient power and charging capabilities. This space-saving solution keeps countertops clear without compromising safety or functionality.

Space-Saving Power for Narrow Vanity Drawers

Designed specifically for narrow bathroom vanity drawers, the Blade Compact Vanity Outlet (15 Amp) delivers in-drawer power in vanity drawers as narrow as 11"—no drawer-box modifications required. Need to go smaller? It can fit drawers as narrow as 9" with an added side channel. Choose from AC, USB-A, and USB-C configurations to keep grooming tools and devices powered up inside the drawer, helping maintain a cleaner, clutter-free countertop.

Quick Install with Minimal Hardware

Adding an in-drawer outlet to a narrow vanity drawer is a straightforward process. The Blade Compact Vanity Outlet installs with seven screws and common tools, making it a practical upgrade for bathroom remodels and new builds. For best fit, confirm these minimum clearances:

  • 11" drawer width (or as narrow as 9" with the application of our side-channel technique)
  • 4" interior drawer height
  • 2" clearance behind the drawer box

Engineered for 21" deep vanity cabinets, this outlet brings safe power to compact vanity layouts to enhance the overall organization and functionality of the space.

Built-In Safety for Daily Use (ETL Listed US & Canada)

Safety is at the core of every Docking Drawer solution. The Blade Compact Vanity Outlet is ETL Listed for use in the US & Canada and includes multiple protections designed for active drawers:

  • Integrated thermostat protection that shuts off power if temperatues exceed 49°C
  • Cable management arms + strain reliefs to reduce stress and abrasion over time
  • Soft-jacketed cable built for repeated open/close cycles and soft-close glides

For code compliance with AC configurations, pair your outlet with our Blade Safety Outlet to automatically power off the outlet when the drawer closes, satisfying CEC requirements for Canadian installations. (USB-only models do not require the power-feature and can remain energized inside the drawer to charge devices.)

Project Planning in Canada

Docking Drawer outlets are ETL Listed for use in Canada. To plan your project, follow the planning details above and consider the following to comply with the CEC*:

  • In-Drawer AC Outlets for Canada: To add AC outlets inside of a compact bathroom vanity, specify a 15 amp Blade Compact Vanity outlet & the Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch (6015-1000W). The Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch de-energizes a Docking Drawer Blade Series outlet when the drawer begins to close.

*The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.

Do I Need a 15 or 20 amp Docking Drawer Blade Series Outlet?

We often get asked this when it comes to choosing the right outlet for your drawer, especially when it comes to bathroom vanity projects where the outlet is used to power hair dryers and curling irons. See the answer here.

How do I ensure my Blade Series outlet is GFCI protected?

If a Blade Series outlet is installed in a location that requires a GFCI by code, there are 4 ways to install the outlet to have GFCI Properties. See the 4 ways here.

Solved my cord problem!

The instructions were VERY detailed up until the point of having to attach the bracket/arm to the back of the cabinet... that part became trial and error!

Compact Vanity Outlet

Needed a smaller unit for a narrow drawer and this fit perfectly. Custom Service (Vie) provided all the information necessary to make the purchase seamless. Also she suggested added details beyond just making the sale. Absolutely the best group of C/S reps in the industry. They know the products inside and out.

A Brilliant Solution for a Clutter-Free Vanity

I recently purchased the Docking Drawer for my master bathroom vanity, and it has been a game-changer. We installed one on my husband’s side for all his shaving equipment (he has several machines) and another on my side for my hair tools like a hair dryer. Everything now stays neatly tucked away instead of cluttering the vanity surface.

My electrician mentioned the installation was very straightforward and had no complaints, which gave me extra confidence in the product’s quality. Overall, I’m very satisfied, the Docking Drawer is a smart, practical solution that makes the bathroom look cleaner and keeps our daily routines more convenient. I already recommended the product to my mother in-law and she is going to get it installed too!

Very nice and well made

I ordered one of these to replace an outlet o. The side of our island. We could no longer have an outlet I. The outside of the island so when we had the island redesigned, I included a set of drawers and added this small docking drawer inside the top for things related to the grill and remotes for the patio and blinds. It was planned to have the DD installed prior to the new countertops being installed but I needed a smaller one (and had to return and wait) so I had to install it afterwards. It took some time considering the restricted space to work in but I finally got it and it works great. Thinking about one for the home office built in to come.

My biggest con is the website has soooo many options and info that it’s not easy to find which one is best suited. That feature could be simplified.

I’d highly recommend the docking drawer.
