ETL Listed for use in the US and Canada, our 15 amp Blade Duo in-drawer outlets are easy to install into any drawer. They’re designed with safety in mind, featuring tamper-resistant outlets and an interlocking thermostat that cuts power if surrounding temperatures exceed 120°F.

Transform your drawer with Blade Series Outlets

Enhance your drawer’s functionality with the advanced Blade Duo 15 amp In-Drawer Outlet by Docking Drawer. This modern solution delivers seamless in-drawer power and charging, combining safety, practicality, and smart design. From charging phones and tablets to powering hair tools or small kitchen appliances, Blade Duo outlets offer the most reliable and user-friendly in-drawer power option available.

Intelligent Power for Every Drawer

Blade Series outlets are engineered to fit virtually any drawer style and plug into a standard wall outlet using a 4.5-foot cord. Installation is straightforward, requiring just basic tools and seven included screws. With the Blade Duo, you can charge up to eight devices or power four at once, eliminating countertop clutter and keeping cords out of sight. The outlets are also upgradeable, allowing you to swap configurations as technology evolves—making them both repairable and future-ready.

Effortless Installation

Setting up the Blade Series is quick and hassle-free. Compatible with shallow, tall, narrow, and vertical drawers, these outlets can be oriented left, right, up, or down to match your needs. Only 2" of clearance is needed behind the drawer box—or 1.25" with a spacer for tighter spaces—so they fit into both custom and standard cabinetry. The 4.5-foot power cord plugs directly into any in-cabinet outlet, and all necessary screws are provided for a smooth installation process.

Built-In Safety You Can Trust

Docking Drawer outlets are ETL Listed for the US & Canada, feature tamper-resistant receptacles, and include an integrated safety mechanism that disconnects power if temperatures exceed 49°C. Each outlet undergoes extensive cycle testing—over 500,000 open/close cycles—to ensure long-term reliability. That’s why every Blade Series outlet is backed by a five-year warranty, giving you lasting peace of mind for your home and family.

Compliant w/Canadian Electrical Code

All USB-only configurations are CEC compliant as they come and and can remain energized when the drawer is closed to charge devices. If purchasing an AC configuration for applications such as powered vanity styling drawers or kitchen appliance pullouts, we recommend pairing it with our Blade Safety Outlet, which cuts power as the drawer begins to close and complies with the Canadian Electrical Code for high voltage outlets within the cabinet.

How to Prepare for Your Docking Drawer Installation

To get started with any Docking Drawer Blade Series project, first determine your drawer box style. There are four main types: Shallow, Tall, Narrow, and Vertical. Once you’ve identified the type, measure the outside width of your drawer box to ensure it meets the minimum size requirements for a Blade Series outlet. You can find the specific minimum dimensions here.

Planning Your Project in Canada

Docking Drawer outlets are ETL Listed for use in Canada. When planning your installation, follow the steps above and keep these Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) guidelines in mind:

  • USB-Only In-Drawer Charging for Canada: Choose a Docking Drawer Blade Duo (1514-288) or Blade (1514-180) model with USB-C and/or USB-A ports. Since USB ports are low voltage, these outlets can safely remain powered and charge your devices even when the drawer is closed.
  • AC In-Drawer Outlets for Canada: For 15-20 amp Blade Duo or Blade outlets with AC power, we recommend pairing them with our Blade Safety Outlet for CEC compliance. The Blade Safety Outlet will automatically cut power to the in-drawer outlet as the drawer closes, making it compliant for use in areas like bathroom styling drawers, kitchen appliance pullouts and other high voltage in-drawer power applications.

Note: The final decision on code compliance always rests with your local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

Do I need a 15 or 20 amp Docking Drawer Blade Series Outlet?

We often get asked this question when choosing the right outlet for your drawer, especially in bathroom vanity projects where the outlet is used to power hair dryers and curling irons. See the answer here.

How do I ensure my Blade Series outlet is GFCI protected?

If a Blade Series outlet is installed in a location that requires GFCI, there are 4 ways to install Blade Series outlets to have GFCI Properties. See the 4 ways here.

Powerful charge, fit well in my shallow drawer

A contractor installed this during a kitchen remodel and we are utilizing this as a device charging drawer for phones and tablets.

I especially appreciate how quickly everything charges using the direct usb-c connectors with the set or usb-c cords we also ordered from Docking Drawer

As Good as I Hoped It Would Be

Added some new cabinets to my kitchen and saved a drawer for the drawer outlet kit. Our installer cut the drawer opening and I did the rest. The instructions are clear and it went in quickly. Very happy with the results.
