Code-Compliant In-Drawer Outlets
Docking Drawer is proud to offer the only in-drawer power solutions that comply with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)*.
To create a charging drawer, choose any Blade Series outlet with a USB-only configuration, which comply with CEC and can remain energized to charge devices when the drawer is closed.
When powering vanity drawers, appliance pullouts or anything requiring an AC configuration, we recommend pairing your in-drawer outlet with the Safety Outlet with Blade Limit Switch (6015-1000W), which will de-energize the outlet when the drawer is closed, satisfying the CEC for AC outlets within the cabinet.
*All Docking Drawer Blade Series Outlets are listed to UL 962a and CSA 22.2 #21, and the Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch is listed to UL 498 and CSA 22.2 #42. The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.
