Code-Compliant
While our Blade Series in-drawer outlets come standard with interlocking safety features on their own, pairing yours with a Safety Outlet with Blade Limit Switch takes safety one step further by ensuring the drawer is de-energized when closed, satisfying Canadian Electrical Code requirements.
Simple to Install
A simple job for an Electrician or electrical savvy homeowner, simply swap the closest wall receptacle with the Safety Interlock Outlet, then pair the Blade Limit Switch with your in-drawer outlet.
Peace of Mind
This product was not only designed to offer the first code-compliant way to power drawers in Canada, but also to offer an added layer of safety for applications like the vanity where hot tools are often connected inside the drawer.
How It Works
*Only for use with Blade Series outlets
This product features two components: the Safety Interlock Outlet and the Blade Limit Switch. Simply install the Safety Interlock Outlet into a standard single gang junction box within 4 feet of your powered vanity drawer, then mount the Blade Limit Switch to your Docking Drawer Blade Series outlet, which will detect the drawer position and de-energize your drawer outlet and all connected devices when the drawer is closed.
The Blade Limit Switch will de-energize the in-drawer outlet when the drawer is 1-2” from the fully open position. You may adjust the position of the Blade Limit Switch to de-energize the outlet at the optimal position for your drawer.
All Docking Drawer Blade Series Outlets are listed to UL 962a and CSA 22.2 #21, and the Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch is listed to UL 498 and CSA 22.2 #42. *The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.

“That’s the beauty of your [product]! It activates at the earliest possible moment and kills the power creating the opportunity for either self-extinguishment, or better yet, no fire at all. I teach a monthly fire extinguisher class where I tell the students that “if you can de-energize the equipment, 90% or the majority of time the fire will self-extinguish.”
