What's Included
This bundle contains two essential components: (1) a Docking Drawer Blade in-drawer outlet and (2) a Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch. Every Blade Series outlet is equipped with a built-in thermostat that automatically shuts off power if the temperature inside the drawer exceeds 120° F. Adding the Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch enhances protection, ensuring power to the outlet and connected appliances is completely cut whenever the drawer is closed. This dual-layer safety approach is ideal for heat-producing appliances used inside drawers. Plus, both products are ETL Listed for the US & Canada, and together they fulfill CEC requirements for AC outlets installed within cabinetry, providing a code-compliant solution for Canadian installations
How It Works
Setting up your Docking Drawer outlet is straightforward. Blade Series in-drawer outlets are compatible with nearly any drawer type and can be installed using standard tools. Only 2" of clearance behind the drawer box is needed—or just 1.25" when following our minimal space installation methods. Installation guides are available to help you or your installer every step of the way.
For added protection in powered appliance pullout drawers, simply mount the Safety Interlock Outlet in a standard single gang junction box within four feet of your powered drawer. Attach the Blade Limit Switch to the Docking Drawer Blade Series outlet—this sensor will monitor the drawer’s position and automatically shut off power to the outlet and all connected appliances whenever the drawer is closed, providing an extra layer of safety
All Docking Drawer Blade Series Outlets are listed to UL 962a and CSA 22.2 #21, and the Safety Interlock Outlet with Blade Limit Switch is listed to UL 498 and CSA 22.2 #42. *The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) has the final say on whether an installation meets the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.
